The AW 16 issue of DANSK takes measure of the immense state of upheaval in today’s fashion world. From the design schools to the runways, from the Internet to Paris’ couture ateliers – everywhere, yesterday’s rules and customs are replaced with an overwhelming sense of freedom and anarchy. How is fashion keeping it together? DANSK speaks to some of the industry’s leading figures about daring to transgress and innovate: Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson on the brand’s total reboot, Lanvin’s Lucas Ossendrijver on inventing its menswear, and notorious model agent Eva Gödel on changing the face of fashion. We speak to the mother of fashion theory Elizabeth Wilson – and Insta-artist BESSNYC4 on the radical potential of social media. And of course, lot’s of the best most transgressive fashion of the season. One thing’s for sure: nothing will ever be the same.

Australian born designer Kym Ellery is behind the brand ELLERY currently taking the world by storm. Sydney-based ELLERY had its debut at Paris Fasion Week last fall showing the Spring Summer 2016 collection, which is avaliable now. We at DANSK recently had a chat with Kym about being an Australian in the fashion industry.
It’s an oft-quoted comment these days that the last true luxury is time. In this digital age we demand everything as quickly as possible: from broadband speed to Amazon deliveries, if we want something, we want it NOW!
